Dan Quarnstrom grew up in northern California in the 60's. The confluence of art and music that emanated from San Francisco during that time still holds a vivid in place in his imagination. His early career included many illustrations for Rolling Stone Magazine, various ad agencies and most record companies. Dan has worked in both 2D and 3D animation as a director, character designer, storyboard and production artist. He worked for Robert Abel and Associates in the 1980's and currently is Creative Director at Rhythm and Hues Studios in Los Angeles. Counted among his projects are the Coca-Cola Polar Bears, numerous commercials and a variety of feature films, including Harry Potter and Daredevil.
In August 2003 Dan successfully completed his first one man show entitled "Joyride: Hot Rods and Fast Cars", at the Metro Gallery in Pasadena, Ca.
